Working Safely teaches the attendees how everyone can make a contribution to the health and safety performance of their organisation and that by taking reasonable care of their own health and safety could make all the difference to their own and other’s wellbeing. This one day course is suitable for employees in all industries.
Methodology for the course includes formal training, relevant videos, group exercises, practical risk assessment, discussions and real-life case studies.
The course covers:
An outline of occupational safety and health
Defining hazard and risk
Identifying common hazards
Improving health and safety performance
The law puts responsibility on everyone in the workplace with regards to health and safety. This course informs the candidates what they can expect their employer to provide under legislation, but also, and most importantly makes clear their own legal responsibilities to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of anyone who could be affected by their acts or omissions
Assessment for Training Courses
This course is assessed by the completion of a multiple choice test and successful candidates will be awarded the IOSH Working Safely Certificate.
