This is a risk management based health and safety course relevant to all working environments. It is interactive and informative and covers:
The foundations of health and safety
The risk assessment process
Applying the hierarchy of risk control
Understanding common hazards
An overview of current legislation
Methodology for the course includes formal training, relevant videos, group exercises, practical risk assessment, discussions and real-life case studies. Without exception the feedback on past courses has been extremely positive. From day one of the training, candidates are able to apply their learning into the work activities within their organisations and play their part in making the workplace safer and healthier.
Assessment for the course consists of a test paper with a mix of multiple choice and short answers and a risk assessment assignment. Upon successful completion of both of these assessments the candidate will be awarded with an IOSH Certificate.
The training is delivered over three days, and you as an organisation choose what way you would like that delivered - e.g. one day per week, over three consecutive days. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
